Quotes
1. “A deep distress hath humanized my soul” Longfellow.
2. “The only pain on this side (the afterlife) is unexpressed love” From the  movie Always
3. Well, what had HAPpened WAuzzz… An excuse prelude used by one of Michael Spezzano’s clients
4. Paraphrasing Jana Stanfield, when asked to move a mountain, men would blast and bulldoze. Women would unite to move dirt one purse load at a time until one day, someone would ask, “Hey, wasn’t there once a mountain over there?”

Cosmic Connective Tissue: The Amazing Journey of the Coincidental Traveler (First Three of Six Principles)

Principle 1: We are energy
Einstein suggested in his famous equation that energy was the same as matter. Let me explain. We can all understand E, that’s energy. We all get “m”, that is matter or mass. The c2 is a little weird though. First of all, c = 186,000 miles per second. A person moving that fast could go from Chicago to Canada and back about 700 times in one second.  The weird part is when you consider that the c in this equation is squared which equals 34.6 billion miles per second. To human comprehension, that is everywhere. The implications of this equation are: 1) energy is the same as matter that is everywhere at the same time, 2) anything made of matter is really made of energy, 3) energy, therefore, is really a cosmic connective tissue.

Principle 2: Energy connects

Scientists have identified an energy that permeates all things which they have called “subtle” or “L” or “X” energy, the fifth force, or biplasma among other labels.  Many cultures have identified a similar energy which they have called Chi, Prana, Mana, Yesod, or the Holy Spirit among over 100 others.

We have all met people with “dark energy”. These people give us the heebie jeebies. On the other hand, we have all met people who had positive energy. In addition, many documented cases exist in which a person in one location can physically feel symptoms experienced by a person in another location. This sometimes happens in labor (but if you are a male, don’t ever tell a woman that you can feel what she feels unless you want your lower lip stretched over your face!). Thus, while subtle energy is difficult to quantify the manifestations of it are blatantly obvious. See the movie Phenomenon with John Travolta for an entertaining demonstration of both telesomatics and telekinesis (moving objects with energy).

Principle 3: Energy responds to intentions

If we are energy and if energy connects us somehow, then the energy we project should be capable of influencing others, animals, plants, and even machines. A case in which a large group of meditators purportedly lowered crime in Washington DC by 25% is discussed in the movie “What the Bleep Do We Know?”.  Studies on distant intercessory prayer, while not conclusive, suggest that when a group of patients is “prayed for” they do better. Similar results have been found when instead of people being prayed for, it is Kentucky blue grass or algae in a tightly controlled environment. Most incredibly, research at the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research Lab suggests that energy projected by people can impact random output from machines. The implications of this and other research being conducted at PEAR are profound. Perhaps the most interesting display of this principle is demonstrated in the work of Masuro Emoto.  He has demonstrated that water crystals, when “exposed” to certain words or music, actually take on different shapes.

Tune in for Principle 4 through 6 next month.
