I wonder why there is not a Daily Recommended Intake for chocolate? I think there should be. The FDA will be hearing from me!
I eat chocolate everyday except for maybe on the weekend. This may explain I am so worn out and ready to return to work on Monday morning.
Note to self: have an ample supply of chocolate at home so that I can retain my sanity until Monday.
I have conducted numerous, scientifically rigorous research studies on the benefits of dark chocolate. Of course ALL of the studies have been conducted with me as a single research subject. Nonetheless and notwithstanding.... here is what my unequivocally dark chocolate research has revealed.
If you consume enough dark chocolate, you can actually become satiated.
Chocolate has no impact on hair loss although it appears to promote premature graying.
Chocolate has no negative impact on complexion except when I need a complexion scapegoat during a rare break-out.
Chocolate increases sense of humor, sense of playfulness and the propensity to smile; OR, I have yet to grow up - one or the other.
Chocolate powers the world economy. Consumption of chocolate therefore benefits numerous individuals. Allow me to illustrate: an american eats a chocolate bar which contains cocao - a product grown (among other places) in central america. The cocao is grown (a job) and harvested (jobs) and packed into containers (jobs to pack AND create the containers) and transported (jobs) and loaded on a ship (jobs) and shipped (jobs) and unloaded (jobs) and loaded onto trucks (jobs) and driven (jobs) to a processing plant (jobs). Ultimately, the chocolate bars are manufactured (jobs) and packaged (in materials that create jobs). Finally, the price for chocolate is somewhat governed financially by an ingenious futures market which creates - you guessed it - jobs. So by eating one bar of chocolate, we can truly impact the world economy (as IF I needed this rationalization).
Chocolate has ZERO impact on sex drive, a point on which I shall not attempt to elaborate.
I am absolutely amazed that the statue of liberty does not say "Bring me your tired, poor, and hungry so we can feed them chocolate.” I think I will get that changed too.
Well, that is it for now. Please raise your cups of hot cocoa to chocolate, the worlds newest food group.
